Thanks for visiting this site dedicated to the exchange of information about what works to promote the outcomes of our children and youth. This site is still under construction so please bear with me. I will be posting my first blog by the end of this week (October 27 2023).
This venue is for all persons who care about helping all children, including the vulnerable and marginalized. Whether you are a judge, probation officer, social services worker, law enforcement, behavioral health specialist, educator, prosecutor, defender for parent or child, advocate, or a caring citizen who wants to know or be involved, I welcome you to read my blogs and respond, participate in the discussion forums, ask questions to get answers, access articles that share what's happening in juvenile justice and child welfare, and more. I hope you subscribe to this site and make it a place where all can share and learn about ways to help our families and communities.
Diversity is an asset if we use it wisely to find common ground to create collective relationships that builds a community, and not divide it. Regardless of our race, ethnicity, gender, religion, socio-economic status, sexual orientation and anything else that distinguishes each of us from another that is all part of making us human, it is these differences that create synergistic energy to bring positive growth to our respective communities. I have found in my 23 plus years of advocating off the Bench for positive changes in social structural conditions that our children and youth will develop with strengths that place them on a path to a positive and healthy future that in turn brings a positive and healthier future of our larger community.
So go our children, so go the adults. Healthier children make for healthier adults.
Thank you for visiting my site and I hope you return and share your thoughts with us.
